After a year and a half of trying to refinance our home the bank decided to foreclose. Tim came to my door and found me, stressed and angry about the whole thing one afternoon. I had heard about "short sales" and was in the mood to just walk away from the whole mess and let the bank have the house. It turns out that would have been the worst thing I could do. I remember the day I saw your little red car pull up out front.  I was next door, sitting on my friend's front porch, telling her about the foreclosure.  I was still in shock that the house had been foreclosed, and it would have been pretty easy to bite your head off that day.  You probably get that a lot.  To your immense credit, you got through your remarks and then made it easy for me to ask questions about the process, and you listened and gave me the benefit of everything you knew.  That can't be an easy thing to do with an upset, shattered homeowner.   Your follow-up notes along the way were a huge help in keeping up with the banks movements and anticipating dates to check for their bid.
